The Royal Mail Address Validation V1 (REST) API exposes a web service that allows Royal Mail internal consumers to validate the address. The current implementation validates that the neighbourhood postcode falls into the same delivery office as destination postcode.

Parcelforce Locations V1 (REST)

The Royal Mail Locations API exposes a REST service that allows Royal Mail internal consumer applications to manage locations and tasks associated with a given location. It has two components. The cloud (APIC) component (this version) allows Royal Mail internal consumers to get the local collect locations i.e. POLs and CSPs belongs to the same delivery office for a given postcode. The ESB component allows Royal Mail internal consumers to get the tasks associated with a given location. Currently there is no requirement to merge both the components.
